Arthur & Fox Shop

Paris, France

2008 — 2009

Vincent Van Duysen Architects was commissioned by Arthur & Fox to rethink what would become their flagship store on Rue Marbeuf in the 8th arrondissement.

Arthur & Fox focuses on high-end, hand sewn, and beautifully cut suits as well as shirts and ties. Originally the shop was located on the ground floor however a first floor space was added by Vincent Van Duysen Architects that links both volumes through a large void and stone staircase.

The material palette is reduced to a few essentials: limestone on the floor, polished brass and a light stucco technique on the walls, and a high-gloss lacquer in the presentation areas. The result is a subtle mix between natural, matte materials and luxurious detailing giving the store an airy and timeless character.
