Welcoming, warm, and convivial—these are the first words that come to mind when encountering Julian. This new sofa is composed of a series of modules, allowing for a wide range of configurations, from intimate and compact arrangements to more open and generous compositions. Julian adapts naturally to a broad variety of settings.
As always, every detail has been carefully considered, guided by the idea that one moves around this sofa as they would around a sculpture. The contrasting profile defines its rhythm, draws the eye, guides it across the surface, and reveals subtle construction details. The back cushions have been designed to harmonize perfectly with the whole, featuring the same contrasting profile and a refined striped pattern that enhances the sense of comfort and well-being at the heart of our work.
Julian brings an immediate sensation of conviviality to living spaces. The configurable system can shape both intimate, compact arrangements and more open, generous layouts. The modules fit together to create a natural dialogue, adapting seamlessly to different contexts and infusing spaces with balance and flexibility for a continuous interplay between proximity and openness.
The project is conceived around the idea of the sofa as a sculpture of layered elements, with every detail governed by a precise logic. The contrasting piping grounds the design, tracing a continuous path along armrests and backrests. The eye is guided across the surfaces, while the individual modules are chosen to adapt seamlessly to the nature of the individual space.
The Julian modular system stands out for its imposing presence and generously deep seating inspired by the 1970s, conceived to offer comfort and adaptability to individual preferences through carefully calibrated cushions and lumbar supports.
