2020 collection for Molteni&C

2020 has been marked by many abrupt changes. The world – everyone – has witnessed life, as it was, grinding to a halt. Il Salone del Mobile in Milan got cancelled. But we didn't stop. Our take on the new products for Molteni&C is a direct and consequential effect of the new direction the planet and the way we live today has taken. The new now has inevitably forced us to rethink our living spaces blurring the lines between domestic life and work life.
With this new collection, we have embraced a new décor direction steeped in the warmth and richness of materials and in their organic juxtaposition. Objects and designs are dictated by textures and refined resources in a non-minimal manner – wood takes on a new role, with its marquetry details and treatments, metal becomes warmer, concrete isn’t as nihilistic anymore. And to preserve Molteni’s tradition, we drew from the masterly and unparalleled graphic work of Gio Ponti, a visionary whose multidisciplinary opus has, and will inspire generations to come.
