CAPCO I Offices
New York, USA
1999 — 2001
The brief called for an office that could be applicable to a number of different locations and building types however the point of departure for this project was a typical office floor plan that could offered very little in quality or expression.
Vincent Van Duysen Architects decided to break with the traditional open-plan office layout and create a more domestic atmosphere referencing offices from the mid-nineteen thirties with their prestigious and regal ambience.
The interior was designed in the spirit of Hoffman with materials such as ebony, veneer, black leather, silver nickel ironwork, and black tinted glass.
