Cascade for Swarovski
2003
For Chrystal Palace, Vincent Van Duysen created Cascade, a table specific chandelier which reflects vigorous tactile modernity. “When thinking of a chandelier design I thought of grand chandeliers, like those in palaces, yet mine would be hanging down on top of huge tables”.
The flowing chains of Swarovski crystals are intermingled with stands of LEDs, that allude to the tempestuous flowing swell of water cascading of a waterfall. It is a celebration of crystal and light in the grandest sense of the great chandelier tradition.
