Shadow for De Padova

2011

Essential lines, fine workmanship and stylistic details are all factors in the high design content of the new Shadow table, designed by Vincent Van Duysen. The minimalist approach of the designer is reflected in the formal lightness of this table that fits right into the De Padova collection, for residential contexts and workspaces. The system of tables includes rectangular or square versions. The structure is in steel, covered in wood, in the oak finish, or in layered HPL, like the top; the details of the legs can be lacquered in different shades.

Vincent Van Duysen describes the table designed for De Padova as follows: “SHADOW is conceived as an essential table. The image is linear and light. At first glance the form is archetypal but also sophisticated. The fine details of the corners and the use of two tones give the table a slender yet stable form. SHADOW is a visually appealing piece of furniture, thanks to its nearly subtle optical
effects.
